How to Choose a Handheld Gaming Device
- Play style: Decide between retro emulation, native Android gaming, or cloud streaming, since each favors different hardware.
- Display: AMOLED and high-resolution IPS panels make games look vivid; higher refresh rates add smoothness.
- Performance: Match the chipset to your goals; heavier emulation and native games need more processing muscle.
- Battery life: Larger batteries extend sessions, which matters for travel and long commutes.
- Controls: Hall Effect sticks and comfortable ergonomics improve precision and reduce fatigue.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the best type of handheld to buy?
