We do not run paid placements or sponsored rankings, and brands cannot pay for inclusion in any guide. Affiliate commissions, explained on our affiliate disclosure page, have no bearing on which products appear or in what order.
3. Sources and Evidence
Primary sources come first, meaning the manufacturer’s own specifications, manuals and firmware or driver notes. Independent measurement data from hardware review sites, laptop review outlets, display measurement labs and audio measurement databases is used to confirm or challenge those claims. Owner feedback helps reveal long-term issues. We do not publish numbers without a source. When reliable measurements disagree, we show the range or explain why results differ instead of picking whichever figure suits the product.
4. AI, With Human Oversight
AI tools assist our team with research, outlines and drafts. Editors review, rewrite and fact-check everything. AI never invents specs, measurements or results, and anything it produces that cannot be verified is removed.
5. Conflicts of Interest
We currently do not accept review units in exchange for coverage. If we receive a free sample in the future, or a writer has a relationship with a brand covered in an article, we will say so on that article.
6. Keeping Content Fresh
Articles are reviewed on a regular schedule and whenever a new model, firmware or driver update, price change or reader report affects our advice. The revision date is shown on each updated page.
